Milestone Sessions are for babies 3 months to 24 months

Milestone sessions take place in my home studio Monday through Fridays between 9:00am and 3:00pm. 

Weeknight & weekend availability is very limited. **Saturday & Sundays are an additional $50

Celebrate the first year with a cake smash!

First Birthday Cake Smash can be added by request to the Lux or Heirloom collection or you can select the cake smash mini below!

I like to keep cake smashes simple to keep the focus on your sweet baby. Instead of doing a theme try for a fun cake & outfit that still keeps the focus on your little one and keeps your images timeless.

If you would like to add additional decor I can provide a simple balloon garland, loose balloons, greenery, or flowers. This is available by request for an additional $50 or you are welcome to bring your own.

Clients are responsible for providing the cake and I am more than happy to recommend a few of my favorite bakeries. I do suggest a white frosting and white cake. I shoot on an all-white background so the white cake coordinates best. You are welcome to add decorations like floral, greenery, or a subtle theme to the cake.

Grow With Me Collections

For Grow with Me collections a 30% retainer is due and then the remaining payments can be set up monthly or divided equally to be paid at each session.

When is the best time to photograph my baby?

The most popular milestone sessions are 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. Some families opt for the big milestones like 6 & 12 months. However you can document any baby between 3m -24m.

When is the best time to book my milestone session?

Many families like to take advantage of the grow with me collections and hold a spot on my calendar for their baby’s first year. I am available to book out as far as a year in advance however I can typically get you on the schedule within a month.

How does booking work?

Once you are ready to book I will email you a proposal where you can select your collection, pay a 30% retainer and sign a contract. Once you have done all three steps you will have a spot reserved. Payment plans are available upon request. If you are booking a grow with me collection I will send you an appointment request that you can use to schedule all of your milestone sessions at your convince. If you are booking a single milestone session we will schedule the date and time at booking.

Where will the session take place?

Milestone sessions take place at my Norton Shores, Mi studio. Outdoor milestone sessions are available by request with a limited availability.

Can I join in for the photos?

Yes! I encourage you to come dressed and ready to be in a few photos. Siblings are welcome to join as well. You don’t have to join but its always smart to come prepared just in case your little one needs extra snuggles that day.

What should I wear?

I am so very happy you asked! For studio sessions I highly recommend wearing neutrals. Whites, creams, Ivory, tans and soft browns photograph best in the studio. Wearing light colors will give your photos that light airy dreamy look. Don’t be afraid to add texture, lace always looks good on mom as well as a long flowy dress. I will send over a style guide to help you put together the perfectly selected wardrobe and you are always welcome to email me for assistance.

What should I bring for baby?

I have a massive collection of sitter outfits ranging from 3m-18m. I also have tons of coordinating headbands and hats! You are always welcome to bring an outfit along just in case but you absolutely do not have to. The studio is also stocked with photo friendly toys however if your little one has a special toy or lovey that is sentimental you are welcome to bring it.

Do you style each session?

I will design/style the set ups based on a questionnaire that you will receive. Everything is thoughtfully setup before you even arrive to your session.

What is the typical turnaround time?

After your session you can expect a proof / viewing gallery within 3 -5 business days. From there you will select your favorite images for me to edit. Once you have made your selections you can expect to receive your final gallery within two weeks.

How many images will I receive and can I have the unedited images?

The amount of images you receive will depend on the photography collection you have selected. Additional images can be purchased ‘a la carte’ or in digital packages.

Editing is a part of the art and unedited images are not a true representation of my work, therefore I am unable to supply unedited files.
